Leah Sandals is a
professional writer and editor based in Toronto, Canada.
Leah writes on a wide
range of topics and her work has been published in several newspapers,
including the National Post,
the Globe and Mail, the Toronto
Star and the Halifax
Chronicle-Herald. She is
particularly well known for her writing on art and art criticism, which has
appeared in periodicals of note including the Art Newspaper, Flash Art, Sculpture, Canadian
Art, Border Crossings and C Magazine.
Editorially, Leah has
worked at all levels of the process, from substantive and assignment editing to
copy editing and proofreading. Book manuscripts, brochure layouts, newspaper
articles, magazine proofs and web-only texts have all fallen under her purview.
Clients have included the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation, Spacing
Magazine, the Ontario College of
Art and Design and YYZ Books, among other organizations.
Leah Sandals holds a BFA
in Media Arts from NSCAD University and a BSc in Physical Geography from McGill
